What ecosystem means for you?

An ecosystem is the world in which a company lives and of which a company makes part. It influences the company such that, for it to be effective, the company needs to adapt to the most urgent movements taking place in their ecosystem. Acting responsibly, as being one of the players in an ecosystem, companies take more and more into account the long term and the well-being of the world. In my opinion it’s the only way forward to a better / healthier world!

Being part of Buy.O?
Being part of Buy.O is being part of a team that is well balanced in many facets. There’s a lot of consultancy experience and a lot of non-consultancy experience; there are people of different nationalities; there’s a mix of all sorts of ages. This makes Buy.O a place for me where I can learn, share experiences and deliver effective opportunities for Buy.O’s customers.

My experience

Some experiences that I want to share

At the start of my career I deep dived into the world of financial figures, as a controller for Akzo Nobel. This helped me a lot in the procurement roles I accepted later in my career, since part of procurement is figures, analysis and savings.
Another part of procurement is cooperation on two fronts, internally with stakeholders and externally with suppliers and stakeholders.

The above mentioned aspects have always proven to be of importance in the roles I have fulfilled and the projects I’ve been part of. They helped me to increase reliability of delivery and quality and to decrease spend at the same time. But also it helped me to effectively change organizational structures and and to implement or modify procurement processes.

The companies I have worked for
Rabobank Indonesia, Van Lanschot Bank, Akzo Nobel, Group 2000 (Wine), Arcelor-Mittal, Driessen Food Group, Rijkswaterstaat Noordzee (government body), Pfizer, Sonae Industria
